Our newest family member...

Our little boy has been wanting a "meow" for a while so... We got a new kitty last night. We have named him Spot :) He's huge - probably as big (if not bigger) than Bryce. All four of us slept in the same bed last night so I'm thinking he's here to stay!

Introducing...

Here is Bryce's new baby brother or sister. We're almost 14 weeks and getting very excited. The ultrasound tech asked if we wanted to know if it was a boy or a girl - of course! But, after lots of prodding and poking - no luck. He or she had the cord between his/her legs so we couldn't see. Now we have to wait another 7 weeks before we can find out! (I think it looks like a girl - don't you??)

Pumpkin Patch

Our mission...

Our mission for the weekend was to find Bryce a winter coat. I can't believe how cold it has gotten here so fast! We started out with these two cute hats...

But here is what we ended up with :) A new coat and a very cute new hat!

Technical difficulties...

I know it has been a while since I posted but we're having technical difficulties here at our house. We really need a new camera but it also doesn't help that we (ok, I) lost the memory card for the camera we do have. We have another memory card but it doesn't work with our computer. So... I'm taking pictures but don't have a way to get them onto this blog. Argh... I promise an update soon. Oh - and if anyone talks to Santa - we need a camera with a Sony memory card ;) Have a great day!

Lamb cake

Mommy had a lamb cake for her first birthday, grandma had a lamb cake for her first birthday so Bryce had to have a lamb cake for his first birthday :) Aunt Mary made this cute little lamb - just cute enough for... Bryce to make a huge mess of it! Thank you Aunt Mary! Here is the "before" and "after"!

1st Birthday!

Bryce turned 1 year old on Saturday and we had his big Winnie the Pooh party on Sunday. Bryce had a great time. He enjoyed playing with all his cousins and loved all of his gifts. He couldn't even wait to open one of them before he was riding on it! Papaw got him a big tractor that he can actually "drive"! Thanks to everyone who shared our special day!

Goin to the zoo, zoo, zoo...

I know, I know - I've been bad about blogging but give me a break - I've been trying to keep up with a one year old! :) Last weekend we went to the Indianapolis Zoo with Papaw and Brenda. Bryce had a great time and wouldn't miss anything - no naps for him! He really liked the dolphin show and watched tentatively the whole time. Mommy liked the baby giraffe the best. It was perfect weather and we had a great time! Thanks Papaw :)

The Maytag Man!??!

So we've decided that Bryce is going to grow up and repair appliances... If he's not sitting in the fridge - he's in the dishwasher!

YUM!!!

Bryce will eat pretty much anything you give him and he has been eating "people food" for months. (Only one exception - he won't eat the green "shells" that go around peas - he sucks on the pea and then spits those back out and hands them to mommy). The problem is that you have to eat baby food off of a spoon and he is NOT a baby anymore so he'll have nothing to do with someone feeding him. We are, however, getting him to feed himself from a spoon but he's not very coordinated. He hands me the spoon, I fill it with whatever he's eating, and then he puts it in his mouth (usually either upside down or sideways). Last night we discovered that two of his very favorite foods are cherry jello and blueberry yogurt. We also discovered that if the spoon doesn't work and you can't get the food in fast enough - just lick it off of yourself! Enjoy :)

My favorite place...

My very favorite place to be is... the refrigerator! Bryce loves to sit in it, stand in front of it, climb in it, play in it - the fridge. I don't know what it is about it but he loves it. Silly boy :) (Oh, and the only thing he likes better than the frige is the FREEZER!)

Bryce got to play his first party games at Christian's WonderPets party. Here he is playing - put the W on the WonderPets poster (like pin the tail on the donkey). He did a REALLY good job and he did it by himself! This other picture is just mommy and Bryce :)

Happy Birthday cousin Christian

We travelled to Hammond for Christian's 2nd birthday party this weekend. Christian got this fancy Power Wheels 4-wheeler and Bryce absolutely LOVED it! I was surprised that he had no trouble getting on and off of it by himself (he could even ride it backwards!) This is now at the top of his birthday wish list :)

Big Bed

Ok, so daddy decided this weekend that since Bryce is now "toddling" that his bed needed switched over to a toddler bed. Here are a few pictures of the conversion and then... success! He's sleeping :)

First friends

Mommy and Bryce have been going to a mommy and me exercise class for a few months and there was another mommy and baby team there that we met and made good friends with. Marty is only two weeks younger than Bryce and they love to play together. On the last day of our last session, we took these pictures. They're not great pictures - have you ever tried to get two 10 month old boys to hold still for a picture?!?! Marty will always be Bryce's first friend :)

PS, we are no longer able to go to this class anymore because the boys are WAY to mobile and we spend all of our time running after them. We're starting mommy and me swim lessons next week! Wish us luck!

Good Morning!

We've had a busy weekend around here so last night we were in bed by 7:45 (yes, we were all in bed, asleep by 8pm). We woke up around 8:30 this morning raring to go!!! There's nothing like 12 hours of sleep! We have enjoyed visiting with Aunt Audrey and our big cousin Sarah (Happy Birthday Sarah!). This picture is for Grandpa - Grandpa got him his first Harley t-shirt - so handsome :)

Big (BIG) Weekend!

Boy did we have a big weekend! We went camping at Lincoln State Park (about 3 1/2 hours away) and then we went to Holiday World/Splashin Safari on Saturday. When we got back on Sunday - between about 100 loads of laundry - we got two new kittens. Here are a few pictures. Bryce got his own little bag chair (which he loved)! We're still on a quest to visit all the state parks in Indiana - here is our picture by the sign as "proof" we actually drove that far south (thanks to Aunt Sarah for taking the picture!) The next one is Bryce swimming at Splashin Safari - he had a blast except he kept wanting to put his face in the water! This last one is a picture of the new kitties. It's not a very good picture so I'll post more later but we had to get their picture in here as part of our big weekend! Enjoy :)
