Bryce always brings home "homework" on Tuesday nights. He has to bring a specific item in for Wednesday depending on the theme of the week. Well, tonight his "homework" was to find a yellow leaf. By the time we ate supper and got cleaned up, it was 7:00... We decided to make a quick trip out to the Battlefield. It was getting dark but we were able to find a few that we think were yellow - even in the dark. Here are a few pictures :)
I don't think picking leaves off a tree at a state-owned park is what his teacher had in mind!
Bryce wanted his brother to have this leaf-such a thoughtful big brother. Soon after this picture was taken, Blake zonked out - this was way past his bed time!
Mommy and Bryce :)
Such a handsome boy :)
This is a place for our family and friends to keep up with how fast our beautiful boys are growing! Enjoy :)

Signs of fall...
It was such a nice day yesterday. The four of us went to the apple popcorn festival in Brookston and then we came home and Bryce and I played outside. We found this wooly worm. Bryce wasn't too sure about holding it himself but thought it was pretty neat. Last night we went to Target and there was a huge praying mantis on our cart. He wasn't too sure about that either (and neither was mommy!).
The Sunday paper
This morning (and every Sunday morning) I go downtown and pick up the Sunday paper. I bring it back and Dan and I usually sit on the living room floor and read it while Bryce plays and Blake watches us. This morning, Bryce decided he wanted to read the Toys R Us ad and he gave Blake the JCPenney ad so that he wouldn't feel left out. It was a very sweet brotherly thing to do :)

Doctor visit updates
Bryce had his 2 year well-visit today. He's doing great and did a great job at his appointment. He weighs 25 pounds; he's in the 25th percentile for weight and height but in the 75th percentile for his head circumference. No shots today and the doctor told him he didn't want to see him again until he turns 3 :)
Blake had his 4 month well-visit today too. He's doing great and also did great at his appointment despite getting 3 shots and an oral vaccine. He - on the other hand - was in the 95th percentile for his weight and height (19 lbs) and the 75th percentile for his head circumference. He goes to the doctor again at 6 months.
Two beautiful and healthy boys :)

Update on the Blakester...
For those of you who didn't know, Blake was such a huge baby that when he was scrunched up in my tummy, his neck fell to one side too often. After he was born, he still liked to sleep like that which caused his head to be a little misshapen. We have been working with a physical therapist and doing exercises with him for about six weeks and he had a check up yesterday. The physical therapist released him and said he's doing great! Yeah! :) Both boys go to the pediatrician on Tuesday for their well-visits (Bryce's 2 year and Blake's 4 month).
